How do I uninstall WordPress, Joomla, or any of my one-click installers?

Any of the software you install to your hosting package can be removed very easily.

Depending on what you install, there are two main steps you need to take:

  1. Remove the software files
  2. Delete the database

Most software you install to your package (WordPress being a prime example) will also install a database, but this may not necessarily be the case.

To remove the website files for the software you installed, just navigate to the public_html folder for your hosting package and delete the software's files.

There may be cases where you've installed the software to a sub-directory in your site. If this is the case, you can delete this entire subdirectory.

To remove the database, just go into your eXtend control panel, scroll to the "Web Tools" pane, and click "MySQL Databases".

On the page that follows, delete the databases your software put in place when initially installed.
